We are recruiting one highly motivated PhD candidate for a fully funded PhD position with VL4AI in the Department of Data Science and AI at Monash University.
The candidate will be jointly supervised by Dr Zhixi Cai and A/Prof Hamid Rezatofighi. The exact research topic will be developed with the successful candidate within one or more of the directions below.
Potential research directions
- Image and video spatial reasoning
- Neuro-symbolic AI
- Agentic AI
- Embodied AI
Applicant requirements
Applicants are expected to have:
- at least one first-author publication at a top-tier venue in artificial intelligence, computer vision, natural language processing, or machine learning;
- an average mark above 80% in their highest completed degree.
Admission and scholarship arrangements remain subject to the formal Monash graduate research application requirements.
